Aylesford 57  - 17 Old Gravesendians

Sunday’s game against Aylesford was a hard fought game.

For the first 15 minutes we played some good attacking Rugby and seemed to have the upper hand over our opponents, scoring

two tries from our forwards drives and speed from the backs.

 As the game progressed though, their large pack (no 21) started

to dominate and although our forwards tackled with their normal

determination the size difference was causing us problems.

In the second half we were defending for long periods, but with

5 minutes left we were able to camp ourselves in the oppositions

22 and to our credit never left it, until coming away with a well

earned Try from Angus Wakefield.

I would like to thank the whole Squad (Coaches, Parents) for their efforts this Sunday and look forward to our next game when

we can continue our successful season.
